Starting The Habit

So, I began reading "BadAss Habits" by Jen Sincero and I can't lie, I am fascinated.

The image we create for ourselves really drives how we set and sustain our goals and habits. I, for one, always did good with goals and discipline but running a full-time business has tested my fears and brought them to the forefront. I have goals I have not reached because of habits I have not created and, I really wanted to focus on creating a change I could stick with.

We all have those goals we are trying to reach to some degree. I am grateful that I have been asked how to sustain a healthy lifestyle rather than quick goals. This is an active goal for me and by reading this book and working some new habits into the routine, I hope we can assist each other!

One of the first things Jen talks about in the book is really accepting the image you want to be of your future self. I mean, really believing in what you want to be. When I begin taking my health journey seriously, I saw myself as someone who wanted to live a happy, healthy, long life. I wanted to be comfortable with moving in my 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's, and although I had NO CLUE where I was going to get all this information to inspire this image, I knew what I wanted it to look like. Believing in the way you want to feel during your health journey should be your first step. Truly creating the image of the life you want, you know? It's important to do so, let's make that your first step.

The image or habit I am working on is posting my content unapologetically. I see myself creating content that's authentic but consistent enough to reach who it needs to. That means creating when I get the idea instead of just writing it down and putting it on my list of things to cover. This new habit makes me overanalyze a lot, but it also gears me up for the next step.

Now that we all have what we are focusing on creating in our image, let's do it!

No, that's the first blog post. Write down what your image is and let's apply pressure to making it a reality. I'll check back in and I hope you do the same.

You got this!

We got this!
